Contracts
The right to contract is an old and revered principle in the law. Because of that, most laws of contract interpretation favor a plain reading of the language and encourage the enforcement of that plain language. That is why it is paramount when drafting an agreement to place within it all of the legal protections you will need if the contract is ever breached. Rarely do parties to a contract think, at the time it is being formed, that the other party will fail to perform.
